Cancellation policy
Due to limited availability and high demand for our Party Boat / Snowy Yacht, all bookings are subject to the following cancellation terms:
- More than 14 Days Before Tour : 25% of total cost.
- Between 14 and 3 Days Before Tour : 50% of total cost.
- Less than 3 Days or No-Show : 100% of total cost
- In case of tour cancellation due to bad weather or technical issues, guests will be offered the choice of rescheduling or a full refund

What to bring
If you plan to snorkel, bring your own towel and a change of clothes. You may also bring your own drinks and light snacks — an ice box will be provided onboard.
What happens if it rains?
The cruise will continue as scheduled during light rain, as our boat has covered areas and most island cruises operate in all weather conditions.
However, if there’s a severe weather warning or unsafe sea condition announced by marine authorities, the trip will be rescheduled or refunded in full.
Is it suitable for children and elderly guests?
Yes, the Party Boat is suitable for families, children, and elderly guests.
There are shaded seating areas, safety railings, and life jackets for all ages. Our crew will also assist elderly guests when boarding and during activities.
What type of food is served?
Meals can be ordered in advance — either from the Shangri-La Resort kitchen or the famous Fish Market Restaurant in town.
We offer buffet, BBQ, or plated meal options, with vegetarian choices available upon request.
Can I bring my own drinks onboard?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own beer, wine, or liquor!
A small corkage and cleaning fee will apply, and we’ll provide glasses and ice for your convenience.

1 can of beer — RM1.00
1 bottle of soju — RM5.00
1 bottle of champagne/wine — RM20.00
1 bottle of whisky — RM40.00
You can also request free-flow drink packages (beer, wine, or cocktails) arranged by our team — just let us know in advance!
Is hotel pickup or transfer included?
Land transfers are not included, but we can arrange them upon request.
We offer pickup services from most hotels in Kota Kinabalu city centre with an additional charge.
Guests may also self-drive directly to Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort (STAR Marina) — parking is available.
What should I wear on the boat?
We recommend comfortable beachwear or swimwear, a hat or cap, and non-slip sandals.
Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and a towel if you plan to swim or snorkel.
Can we request vegetarian or special meals?
Yes, we can arrange vegetarian or special dietary meals with advance notice.
All meals are prepared either by Shangri-La Resort kitchen or the Fish Market Restaurant, so quality and freshness are guaranteed.
Are drinks included? Can we request free-flow beer or cocktails?
Soft drinks and drinking water are included.
For guests who wish to upgrade, we can arrange free-flow beer, wine, cocktails, or custom drink packages.
Alternatively, you may bring your own beverages with a small corkage fee.
Can you help decorate the boat for birthdays or events?
Absolutely! 🎈
We can arrange balloon decorations, banners, themed setups, or table décor to match your celebration.
Just let us know your event theme in advance and we’ll make it picture-perfect.
Can we play our own music or bring a DJ?
Yes! You can connect your own playlist via Bluetooth, or we can help arrange a DJ with professional sound system and lighting for your event.
